Madeleine Lord is sculptor who works with steel, torch cutting her drawings or welding from steel scraps. Her work includes figures, animals, plants and abstracts in all scales. She has displayed her works in the Art on The Trails in past years. She is a regional correspondent for Artscope Magazine and has lived in MA for the past 50 years.
Her works make the inanimate materials animate, instilling empathy, engaging. Her intent is to get viewers who may not have much to say to each other to find something to nod, smile or talk about.
Her work has been shown locally and nationally, and is on public display at MIT, University of Indiana, Fort Washington Park in Cambridge, MA and the Federal Preserve Plaza in Boston, among others.
