Cattail seeds form a domestic cat-like figure, embodying a tension between what is alien and of the earth, familiar and unfamiliar, perceptual and tangible. The forest, and nature, act as both a metaphorical and physical space in which this piece manifests from. Landscape blends with the sculptural object, granting familiarity and agency to the overlooked aspects of the natural world.
