Children in grades 4 and 5 at the Neary School in Southboro created stylized weavings depicting the eight phases of the moon: New Moon, Waxing Crescent, First Quarter, Waxing Gibbous, Full Moon, Waning Gibbous, Last Quarter, and Waning Crescent. The moon and its circular shape are constant; they are without a beginning or an end. The theme, time in the landscape, reflects on change, but we enjoyed celebrating something that remains the same—our big nightlight in the sky.
