Grow and Take Flight - Neary School
Denise Johnson & the students of Margaret A. Neary Elementary School Grow & Take Flight Mixed metal, cans and wood Not For Sale This installation symbolizes the positive things we can expose ourselves to, to enrich our lives. Grade 4 & 5 students considered the word exposure, a word that often has negative connotations–exposure to viruses, too much sun, or time in front of screens. Yet, exposing ourselves to positive things such as nature, exercise, art or music can improve our health and well being. And exposure to people different from us can help us to grow as informed and compassionate people. In other words, exposure to the good stuff in life can help us to grow (like a flower) and spread our wings. Please step up and have your picture taken!
