Rooted In Nature
Denise Johnson & students of Margaret A. Neary Elementary School Chicken wire, rope, zip ties, wire Not For Sale Whitney Beals grew up playing on this land and spent much of his life here. It is where his love of nature began, and where he always, always returned. Rooted in Nature is a homage to Whitney Beals and his legacy to Southborough. We will continue to enjoy the solace of this land, Beals Preserve. Whitney loved all things nature, with a special place in his heart for trees. Fourth and fifth grade students at Neary Elementary School created Rooted in Nature showcasing two oversized, ever reaching roots fashioned from chicken wire and rope in memory of Whitney Beals.
