3. Nine of Lace
Pam Bonaguide | Vintage and antique lace encased in cement | $4,500 Inquiries: artonthetrails@gmail.com | Nine of Lace is a tribute to the artistry and dedication of women from the past. Using antique and vintage lace preserved in cement, nine pieces hang in a single row from a tree branch, never touching the forest floor. The breeze and shifting light animate the lace, allowing nature to participate in the artwork. Each unique piece honors the intricate craftsmanship of its maker. Reflecting the theme of “Number 9,” the installation symbolizes completion and transformation, preserving legacy while inviting change. It celebrates women’s enduring contributions, the beauty of handmade art, and the evolving dialogue between art and nature.
