This work stages past, present, or future moments as types of space that are specifically referenced and generally defined. A directional signpost indicates locations relative to and beyond itself by pointing to them, implying that the locations are not where the sign itself is. This function is useful and this work exploits it as metaphor- swapping names of places with the names of quotidian time on this antenna-like, fingerpost structure, creating a semi-accurate, intuitive, language tree diagram. By mapping vague coordinates with time-centric words amidst a real landscape, the work invites new considerations, contradictions, and ironies.
